Sparklers for Shannon and John

Took this last fall at Headbutt's wedding in Florida.

It was not easy coordinating all those folks at the end of the celebration.

Emily Hill Thompson

Another little piece from my friend Emily Hill (now Thompson).

See her lovely salmon animation here.

Annika Connor's watercolors

Old OLA friend Annika Connor's watercolors.

She's set up a studio in Manhattan

and become very active in the art community.

Her site here.

Yéle Haiti

Yéle Haiti is a grassroots movement that builds global awareness for Haiti while helping to transform the country through programs in education, sports, the arts and environment. Yéle’s community service programs include food distribution and mobilizing emergency relief. Grammy-Award winning musician, humanitarian and Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti Wyclef Jean founded Yéle Haiti in 2005.

I skipped two Starbucks trips to text YELE to 501501 and donate $5 to the Earthquake Fund.

$300 independent short film from Uruguay

Fede Alvarez made this film with a budget of $300 and then put it on youtube, and after a short period some Hollywood producers got wind of it and are now paying him $30 million to make a feature-length sci-fi version.

I never imagined robots blasting through architecture could be so lovely.
